#LocalLove might be a bit of a stretch because these gals are blowing up (no pun intended) all over the country, but I’m not mad about it. Awesomeness like this needs to take over the world.  Who am I talking about? None other than the amazing genius of…

Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset Drybar is the enchanted place where you can go to sip mimosas, watch chick flicks and have your hair magically transformed. It’s the stuff of dreams.

I went recently to have my hair done for a wedding and was thrilled with the outcome.  On top of that, the team was fun and super accommodating for my early morning request.  Processed with VSCO with hb1 preset

When I arrived, the cheery, bright decor greeted me (white & gray with pops of sunny yellow) and I was offered a drink as I was ushered to a chair at the “bar”. Big TV screens played one of my favorite movies (27 Dresses… how apropos) as I surveyed the rows of perfectly packaged hair products lining the bar shelves.  Their menu has blow outs ranging from the Mai-Tai to Southern Comfort and you can add in fun little extras like braids for a few additional dollars. Oh, and did I mention, it is all for just $45? The whole experience is truly dreamy.

Because the day of the wedding was super hot and humid, the ladies at the Drybar gave me a tighter curl and plenty of hairspray to keep everything in place. It was definitely called for and I felt like it lasted for the whole day. Not an easy feat in DC humidity.

How beautiful is the bride? I loved every minute of her day and it was made that much sweeter because it started out at Drybar.  I would highly recommend that you check them out for yourself… maybe for a special event or, you know, a Thursday. You do you girl!
